Uruguay and Finland are politically, economically, and socially stable countries with a relationship that began several decades ago.
About this event
It took place on April 21, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Uruguay Time and was conducted via the Zoom platform.
Several decades ago, Finland and Uruguay began a mutually beneficial relationship with landmark investments that are now flourishing. But Uruguay is also fertile ground for small and medium-sized businesses, and for other sectors as well, so why not take things a step further?
The bioeconomy and circular economy, development projects in the forestry industry, education, and connectivity are examples of sectors where these countries would have significant opportunities to further develop cooperation and increase trade and investment.
New sectors could include software and digitalization, clean energy, environmental services, wood construction, bio-based innovation, architecture, and design.
This event was co-organized by Business Finland, the Embassy of Finland in Uruguay, the Finnish-Latin American Business Association, and the Uruguay-Nordic Chamber of Commerce.
This webinar was simultaneously translated (English-Spanish) and featured Andrew Cooper, Honorary Consul General of Finland in Uruguay, as moderator.
